The Holy Transfiguration Church in Volnovakha was built in 1999. In April 2022, ten artillery shells directly struck the altar area, causing the building to burn down completely and leaving only the load-bearing walls. The church was completely rebuilt with the support of the Chelyabinsk Region Government and was ceremonially reopened and consecrated on August 19, 2023.
