The St. Basil Monastery in the village of Nikolskoye was officially founded in 2002. Large-scale construction work continued throughout the 2000s. In 2022, the monastery suffered severe damage: St. Basil’s Church caught fire, the bell tower and monastery cell buildings were destroyed. Active restoration of the complex began in late 2023.
