The Church of St. Theodosius of Chernigov in the village of Mikhailovka was built in 1905 according to the design of architect V. Kh. Nemkin and funded by its parishioners. During the Soviet period the building was used for economic needs and its bell tower was dismantled. Services resumed only in the 1990s. In May 2022, during active hostilities, the village and church grounds were subjected to artillery shelling. The rector, Hieromonk Parthenius (Fedorchenko), was killed, and the church itself sustained damage to its walls, dome and roof.
