Founded in 1997, the women’s monastery grew from a small church into a flourishing monastery community. Following the devastating destruction of 2014, when the main church and cell buildings were completely destroyed, the sisters left the grounds along with the monastery’s principal shrine — the wonderworking Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. Services resumed only in 2016.
