The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the village of Shirokino found itself at the epicenter of intense fighting and was badly damaged. The building was targeted for shelling. Repair work began in 2024. The church has now been fully restored: its walls have been repainted, interior finishing has been completed, and new golden domes shine above it once again.
